Middle School

Shu Ren's middle school program is dedicated to nurturing globally aware critical thinkers and lifelong learners. Rooted in the IB/PYP Curriculum, we incorporate the Responsive Classroom approach, tailoring education to meet the unique needs of each student.

Responsive Classroom is a student-focused, evidence-based method emphasizing four core domains: engaging academics, fostering a positive community, effective classroom management, and developmentally responsive teaching. Our educators recognize the untapped potential within each student. This creates a secure learning environment where challenges are seen as opportunities for growth, cultivating a strong sense of responsibility and leadership skills.

Our middle school program began with grade 6, and subsequent grades will be added each school year. We offer a transdisciplinary approach to all academic subjects, complemented by daily Mandarin language immersion, along with weekly Music, Art, and Physical Education classes for a holistic learning experience. After-school enrichment activities and an expanding range of co-curriculars will extend learning beyond the school day. By grade 8, students participate in a capstone trip that further enriches their educational journey.
